Got it working by doing this...
1. After you download, a file will appear "Install Mac OS X Lion".
2. Right click the file, and click on "Show Contents".
3. Go inside the "Contents" folder, and then "SharedSupport".
4. Double click "InstallESD.dmg".
5. It will verify for a minute or two, and then the actual installation file "Install Mac OS X Lion" will appear in a new window. Double click that file and follow the instructions.

Seed Please
I don't see shared support folder ?
How Can I See The SHA-1 checksum
Lion only costs $30, get a life! sheesh Are you all really so miserly? lol That's what, equivalent to the cost of a handful of macdonald's big macs & a coke? lol
I'm not interested in losing Rosetta support thus I'd lose ability to use lots of applications, no Lion for me thanks. :P Lion does not have anything I need.

Will this allow me to upgrade to 10.7.2? I downloaded the previous version you uploaded, but the update doesn't show up that I can download the new version.
Awesome! Thank you!
Thanks for the share!.. nesmosrings is a douche
To be honest, I updated my macbook to lion from snow leopard and things ran great! Then about a week later, my mac just shut off and I kept getting errors.. I was told to back up my files and reformat. The computer IS a lot faster when you install OSX lion from scratch than if u upgrade from Snow Leopard. If you have the time and energy to redo ur computer, do it, its wayy more worth it
????????????????????How Can I See The SHA-1
Thanks. God bless.
I don't see SharedSupport either, any suggestions?
Wont install for me. Its getting, An error occured while preparing the installation. Try running this application again.
I followed this:

If I wipe my HDD and upgrade to Lion, will this re-install all the applications that come with Lion and everything?
Apokarteron, could you please confirm if this will install to a fresh HDD burnt onto a DVD?
I am building a hackintosh and instead of having to install snow leopard then update to lion I would prefer to simply install Lion fresh onto a new HDD.
If anyone could confirm this that would be of great help!

thanks for this. @xd001lugia (sigh), this is for Mac, not Windows. You can install Windows on a Mac but you CAN'T install Mac on a Windows machine. Why? Because Windows is crap and Mac isn't.
Hey I got a question on this torrent :
1. )Can I install this version without having pre-installed snow leopard ?
2.) Can I install this on Intel Dual Core PC ?
3.) How do I mount / install this .dmg file on win 7 ?
4.) I am using windows 7 , I know how to build hackintosh with snow leopard , can I do same with Lion ? With win 7 and without having Snow Leopard pre-installed ?
5.) Can I make full clean install from this torrent only? Or is this just an update to Snow Leopard?
Please help me ! I'm dying to use MAC =/

The Lion symbol has a "no" sign over it, and if i try to click it it says "You cannot use this version of the application with this version of Mac OS X"
Does anyone know why this is happening?

When I follow the instructions given here, the Install Mac OS X Lion.app has an X over it and will not allow me to open it.
Can anyone help me with this?

On your Leopard-equipped Mac, navigate to /System/Library/CoreServices.
Using a text editor that lets you enter an admin-user name and password to edit system-level files—such as the non-Mac App Store version of TextWrangler—open SystemVersion.plist.
Locate the ProductVersion key (not the ProductUserVisibleVersion key). Just below that is a string of numbers indicating the OS version; for example, on a Mac running OS X 10.5.8, it will read 10.5.8.
Change that number to 10.6.6 (or 10.6.7 or 10.6.8), save the file (providing your admin-level username and password when prompted), and then shut down your Mac.

How do I make a bootable Flash drive?

Thanks Apokarteron!
To repeat what kiwipuff said... Works perfect. But be aware that old versions of Office for Mac (and other Power PC apps) will not be supported. You'll have to install Office 2011 for Mac.

I have installed Mac OS x 10. Lion installed for several weeks, NOW I would like to have a fresh install, reformat the drive with Lion. (My computer seems really buggy and slow)
Restarting the computer with the option key and going through the steps the system is asking for the apple ID and email I used to purchase this product. Is their any other way to reinstall the Lion OS with a fresh installation?

I have too many data and it mite take ages to take backup.

Do i need to take backup and format before installing Lion over Leopard? Or can i just go forward download the dmg, do some internal changes as mentioned on other threads and run it so it ll get upgraded by itself.

OSX LION was built to be installed as an upgrade to Snow Leopard. You should back up your files (just in case) and then run the upgrade from your desktop. It takes about 30-45 mins to complete and all your settings and files should still be there. Some programs may not work properly, so just update them and chances are theres an update to make it compatible with lion. You shouldnt have a problem with ur mac if you install lion this way...
If you run a clean install, you're going to have to take the dmg file found inside the .app and burn that to a CD and then install lion that way.

You can use transmac (15 day trial) to burn/write the .dmg to a disc or flash drive. It is much easier to create an un-needed Windows XP Virtual Machine. I use transmac all the time. Never failed me.

Just got a question about clean install on my macbook 2008. Did the following steps :
1. Burned the Mac OS X Install ESD.dmg using disk utility.
2. DVD verified and is mounting properly.
3. Changed the start up option to DVD
4. The apple logo comes and then the progress bar keeps on blinking for minutes , testing my patience , could not beyond the progress bar .
Guys , can some one suggest , why is that happening... Thanks in advance .

dawuslang - you dont have 20 GB of memory, you have 20 GB of hard drive space which is not memory(RAM)
its saying you need 2GB minimum of memory(RAM) so either you need to upgrade your memory(RAM) or your computer is too old it sucks
